Owner/Trainer Shane Stanis, CDBC, CPDT-KSA has been training dogs professionally for over 20 years. As an IAABC certified dog behavior consultant, I work primarily with families struggling with aggression, reactivity, phobias, compulsive behaviors, and my specialty - fear & anxiety. I work with clients in person in Central Contra Costa county, and virtually nationwide (and occasionally internationally). I also run an online group training program for shy and fearful dogs, Confidence Builders Academy.

Specializing in solo R+ walks, on leash (long lead) for dogs experiencing reactivity and animal communication techniques to assist in understanding your dogs behavioral patterns and individual needs. We are a fear-free certified practice. We offer fear-free grooming, puppy grooming training, and behavior consulting including behavioral modification for scared dogs. Our founder is a CBCC-KA (Certified Behavior consultant-canine) certified by the CCPDT, as well as a IAABC member. Dogs are family to us.

I specialize in using reward-based techniques to help families with dogs that are considered difficult, whether it is dog-dog aggression, resource guarding, aggression towards humans, reactivity to objects, noises, fearful/shutdown dogs. I also work with dogs that have had a bite history. In addition, I have a SmartPuppy Program that helps you grow puppies into smart, confident dogs and prevent many issues rather than fix them later.
