My name is Juliana and Pawsome Pupstars Dog Training is my private business. I was a dog walker before becoming a dog trainer. I am CPDT-KA and Fear Free certified. I am located in Brooklyn, NY. I offer a combination of virtual and in-person dog training services depending on the needs of the dogs and their guardians.

I'm Lauri Green (they/them), a dog trainer passionate about positive reinforcement and animal liberation. In 2018, adopting my dog led me to become a full-time trainer. My approach is fun, reward-based, specializing in clicker training, confidence-building for shy/rescue dogs, socialization, and off-leash skills. As an animal liberation activist and vegan, my work is driven by deep empathy for animals. I find nothing more rewarding than helping dogs thrive. I provide positive reinforcement dog training in San Francisco, CA., specializing in reactivity, ‘city skills’ & separation anxiety. I love to work with owners and families to determine root causes, mediate breed tendencies with lifestyle, and ensure that training is effective & really sticks.

We are a fear-free certified practice. We offer fear-free grooming, puppy grooming training, and behavior consulting including behavioral modification for scared dogs. Our founder is a CBCC-KA (Certified Behavior consultant-canine) certified by the CCPDT, as well as a IAABC member. Dogs are family to us.

Each session will be designed to keep everyone as relaxed, happy and safe as possible, while also learning and having fun!

A graduate of the Dog Training Internship Academy - a comprehensive program that provided me with a thorough understanding of animal behavior & learning and focused on the use of science-based training techniques to change both a dog's behavior and a dog's underlying emotional state that may be driving undesirable behavior. I'm also certified by The Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers. This requires that I have a minimum of 300 hours of experience; references from a veterinarian, client, and colleague(s); and have passed a comprehensive examination testing my knowledge of learning theory, canine ethology, animal husbandry, classroom management, and teaching techniques.
