At Viking Dog Hiking, we specialize in professional, family-style dog boarding where your pup is treated like one of our own. My wife and I provide 24-hour love, structure, and exercise in a safe home environment. Along with boarding, we offer structured walks and positive reinforcement training to enrich every stay. My background includes work with East Bay Humane/Berkeley Humane, SF SPCA, and advanced studies at the Karen Pryor Academy. From playful puppies to senior dogs, we bring expertise and compassion to every dog in our care.

I started dog sitting after noticing a gap in the market. Daycares juggling numerous clients at can’t possibly cater to each dog’s unique needs. I commit to ONE dog at a time and providing individualized, structured care. Your dog will never be subjected to yelling, yanking, or punishing. I lead with compassion and gentleness - an approach they deserve. I provide care at my residence, offering 24/7 supervision for SA pups, exercise, and frequent photo updates. I have a bachelor's degree in Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis, accreditations in low-stress handling, Fear Free, and more. I love to learn and go to training, veterinary, and behavior conferences to stay up to date on the most current information on training methods, anxiety, and aggression. I specialize in helping pets with anxiety and aggression during vet visits, and I love teaching owners how to help their pets gain confidence in previously frightening environments.

I take small to medium-sized dogs I to my home for day & overnight care. I try to limit it to 3 guests & the guests are treated like our own. Only 100% house-trained & dog-friendly dogs, please. Please be advised-my son is a musician, his instrument is the drum set, and he practices almost daily for about an hour. Most dogs don’t mind it, but FYI . I also do cat visits!

I am a SF SPCA certified private trainer. After 11 years of working at the SF SPCA I branched out full time on my own. I offer basic training, leash reactivity training, and have a lot of experience with puppies. I also provide pet sitting in your home as well as training while I stay with your dog or puppy.
