I specialize in boarding dogs under 20 pounds in my cozy studio, which opens up to an enclosed backyard, and a large front yard with a pretty garden. With years of experience, I have a special affinity for both energetic pups and senior or special needs dogs, including those who are blind or deaf. I prioritize creating a comfortable and familiar environment, offering a free practice night for all new clients. I became a full-time traveling house sitter in July 2020 and have thoroughly enjoyed this as I love to travel and staying in different homes to care for their pets. I work remotely as an insurance auditor so I am home often. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising 6 days a week as I am a retired triathlete.

I have loved animals all my life and feel a connection to dogs in particular. I have been training dogs professionally for 25 years and have been active in the rescue/shelter world for 30 years. I teach owners how to work with their dogs in a positive, fear-free environment and enhance the bond they have with their dog through consistent feedback and reinforcement. I work with dogs of all ages and breeds and have extensive knowledge with dogs that have behavioral concerns. On the flip side, I become the student when I attend workshops and seminars to learn new training methods. The field of animal behavior continues to evolve as well as our understanding of how animals learn.
