Owner, Jena Newman, is a former zookeeper who trained exotics like elephants, sea lions, gorillas and more. After her time at the KC Zoo she decided to take her training into dog clients homes and created NDT. Hang Around Hound is a multi-use dog care company. We offer boarding and daycare in an all day open play environment, as well as basic grooming. All of our staff are trained in positive reinforcement techniques and dog first aid. I have been in business since 2016 but have been working with dogs professionally in San Francisco since 2010.

I am located in Mill Valley and service Mill Valley and Sausalito for my pack walks. The pack walks 1 hour off-leash walks and adventures in parks and beaches nearby. I also offer pet-sitting and boarding Fridays after 12:30 until Sunday night if you live outside of Marin. I started Salty Paws SF in 2023 after working for another dog walking business for about a year and a half. I also walked for another company called Luck Dog from 2007-2009.

I take small to medium-sized dogs I to my home for day & overnight care. I try to limit it to 3 guests & the guests are treated like our own. Only 100% house-trained & dog-friendly dogs, please. Please be advised-my son is a musician, his instrument is the drum set, and he practices almost daily for about an hour. Most dogs don’t mind it, but FYI . I also do cat visits!
