Welcome to ABC Pet Resort & Spa! Houston, Texas' premier pet resort since 1991. We handle your pets with the same love and care they receive in your home. Our dedicated and specially trained staff ensure that your dog has an enjoyable and comfortable experience, whether they join us for a fun-filled day at our dog daycare or overnight in our premier dog boarding accommodations. A graduate of the Dog Training Internship Academy - a comprehensive program that provided me with a thorough understanding of animal behavior & learning and focused on the use of science-based training techniques to change both a dog's behavior and a dog's underlying emotional state that may be driving undesirable behavior. I'm also certified by The Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers. This requires that I have a minimum of 300 hours of experience; references from a veterinarian, client, and colleague(s); and have passed a comprehensive examination testing my knowledge of learning theory, canine ethology, animal husbandry, classroom management, and teaching techniques.

We are about community. Everyday we strive to make something better in serving our clients and their dogs. Julia, the business owner, is passionate about dogs and their care. This will be our 22nd year of serving our San Francisco community. Our daycare and boarding is based out of my 2,500 sq ft home, with a large backyard. We love what we do. We use only force free, R+ training methods. All of our staff are employees and we provide health, dental and retirement benefits.

I have had dogs all my life the 22 years I grew up in The Netherlands. When I moved to San Francisco I felt that this was my calling; working as a professional with and for dogs! I have a psychology degree from The Netherlands, and finished the dog walking course before starting my own business. After that I wanted to learn more about dog psychology and training, so I took an intense course at a training academy. Every day I love my job more. The dogs are so happy and their gratitude makes every day a great day. My main goal is having as much fun with my pack as we can so that they can return home well satisfied from great exercise!

I offer pet care with a personal touch! For small dogs only. My services include private walks, group walks on and off-leash (since 2005), pet sitting in my home (since 1993), and cat visits.
