At Ready, Pup, Go!, our mission is to guide future pet owners through the rewarding yet challenging journey of puppy parenthood. With statistics showing that approximately 20% of adopted puppies are returned or rehomed due to unmet expectations or unforeseen challenges (ASPCA, 2019), we aim to reduce rehoming rates and curb future behavior issues through comprehensive consultation and early education. By providing one-on-one coaching throughout the first year of a puppy’s life, we equip pet owners with the knowledge and support they need to raise well-adjusted, happy dogs. Top Dog SF is a local dog walking and reward-based training company established in 2004. We offer three main services: Puppy Head Start Program, Small Dog PlayCare, and Daily Off-leash Adventure Outings to our private dog ranch in Montara. A graduate of the Dog Training Internship Academy - a comprehensive program that provided me with a thorough understanding of animal behavior & learning and focused on the use of science-based training techniques to change both a dog's behavior and a dog's underlying emotional state that may be driving undesirable behavior. I'm also certified by The Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers. This requires that I have a minimum of 300 hours of experience; references from a veterinarian, client, and colleague(s); and have passed a comprehensive examination testing my knowledge of learning theory, canine ethology, animal husbandry, classroom management, and teaching techniques.
