Hi! I'm Aimee, the dog trainer and owner/operator behind It's a Dog's World SF Dog Training. I started as a group dog walking business in 2007. In 2009, I became a certified dog trainer after graduating with honors from The Academy for Dog Trainers at the SF SPCA, taught by the world-renowned Jean Donaldson. Since then, I have been working and helping dogs and their humans for thousands and thousands and thousands of hours. Having trained in San Francisco for so long also means that I know and understand this market. Ariel has been working with animals since she was a child, and has been professionally training dogs for 5 years. She joined the Pet Professional Guild (PPG) in 2017. She is one of the less than 10 trainers in the US to earn the prestigious title of Professional Canine Trainer (PCT-A) from the Pet Professional Accreditation Board. Service dog training is what she is truly passionate about, but she also offers basic training, trick training, and therapy dog training! Ariel has also served in the military (USAF) and volunteered with local fire and EMS departments. She now has her Golden Retriever, Padme, working as a service dog to assist her day to day.

I have been working with dogs since 2016. In 2017 I started a dog walking and pet sitting business and my passion to help families with their fearful and aggressive dogs grew. In 2018 I attended Karen Pryor Academy for Professional Behavior and Training graduating with distinction. My personal dogs have had training challenges that allows me to be empathetic and help personalize my training plans for my clients. I continue to study, take classes, and collaborate with fellow trainers to make sure my clients get specialized training plans to suit their unique needs.

Heidi started swiShing tails dog training in 2019, bringing 8 years of experience of working with dogs. Heidi provides walking in SF, and boarding and training in SF & the peninsula. She also teaches agility, and competes with both her border collie and beagle in agility and rally. She only uses positive reinforcement and science-based methods in dog training and walking, which is why her canine clients are always excited to go out and play.

A graduate of the Dog Training Internship Academy - a comprehensive program that provided me with a thorough understanding of animal behavior & learning and focused on the use of science-based training techniques to change both a dog's behavior and a dog's underlying emotional state that may be driving undesirable behavior. I'm also certified by The Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers. This requires that I have a minimum of 300 hours of experience; references from a veterinarian, client, and colleague(s); and have passed a comprehensive examination testing my knowledge of learning theory, canine ethology, animal husbandry, classroom management, and teaching techniques.

Jan Marinelli is a Positive Reinforcement / Force Free dog trainer located in the Summerville, South Carolina region. Jan believes that her work is to help dogs and their humans communicate more clearly to each other for the enrichment of their lives together. Throughout this work, she offers support and encouragement to both canines and humans to learn new behaviors through healthy play, lots of praise, and practice. Jan has successfully completed Pat Miller's Level 1 training. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen trainer and evaluator.
