We offer group and private lessons for all ages & breeds. You'll participate in socialization, fun and education. We DO NOT offer punishment-based training including the use of e-collars. Groups classes coach you and your dog on how to work as a team. Topics include Puppy Manners, Adult Manners, Agility, Rally, Tricks, Rally FunGility, AKC FIT DOG, Scentwork, Fetch! and Therapy Dog. Can't attend a regularly scheduled group class? Is your pup too shy or lively to work around other dogs? Private lessons can be scheduled either at our facility or your home. Lessons available for both Puppies and Adult dogs.

Newman's Dog Training, Walking and Pet Sitting has been serving the Kansas City Metro since 2011. Owner, Jena Newman, is a former zookeeper who trained exotics like elephants, sea lions, gorillas and more. After her time at the KC Zoo she decided to take her training into dog clients homes and created NDT. We specialize in private dog training and online classes only using positive reinforcement methods. We also offer dog walking and pet sitting in Kansas City.

Alyssa got her start pet-sitting then moved into working at a boarding and daycare facility managing play groups and taking dogs for off leash hike. She got a taste for dog behavior and never stopped seeking more knowledge. Alyssa has worked within the shelter world for upwards of 5 years, educating the public, the volunteers and the staff on safe animal care, animal welfare and enrichment and basic training principles. She enjoys working with dogs as they transition into new families or work through fear and confidence issues. Alyssa is very familiar with behavior challenges like fear, reactivity and aggression.

Hi, I'm Bo. I became a dog trainer as a result of adopting Puppy Loki. I had to learn the science of dog training to survive him. So, I know what it's like to struggle with a dog in the household. I specialize in private lessons and work primarily online, so I can work with you wherever you are. I'm also the "economy trainer" because my rates tend to be much lower than other professionals. Learning is FUN! I am a certified dog behavior consultant and certified dog trainer in obedeince, nosework and tricks. I am also a Service Dog Coach. I believe in science-based and positive reward-based training methods that create a fun learning environment for both humans and dogs. When you are having fun, whatever you do becomes rewarding and makes you want to do more of it. Through fun learning experiences, desirable behaviors are retained and repeated. My specialty is in working with anxious, fear-aggressive dogs and dogs with reactivity issuees. K9 Learning is based in Novato, CA and currently offers both in-person (in Marin) and virtual training (outside of Marin) sessions.
