I started working in the pet care industry after I took in my grandfather's dog, Roxie. I worked in a small local pet shop, Sunset Pet Supply from 2014 - 2016. I learned all about animal nutrition and wellness. Then I moved into a dog walking position 2017 - 2018. I loved the dog walking so much, I decided to move on and start my own business. I wanted to be able to do more work to help the dogs and their pawrents!

Hi everyone! My name is Naomi Roxas I've been a dog walker in San Francisco for the last 5 years. I started out working for a dog walking company the first 4 years and in February of 2019 I decided so start my own dog walking coverage business! With my previous company it was always stressful to ask for time off and I found that to be the case for other business owners as well. As a graduate in Psychology from SF State, I find taking time off for self care to be very important and I feel as though that is something many walkers have not had the opportunity to enjoy. Truth is I love dogs! Big, small, furry, bald, stinky or clean I love them all. I will cherish each as my own. I am just staring out and would love to start by walking them, then possible dog sitting in my home. I have owned a bulldog, and cocker spaniel in my life so far. I am pet free at the current time. The Urban Paw is insured, bonded, and a registered dog walking and pet sitting business of San Francisco founded and owned by Emy Sakai. Emy is also a member of SF Professional Dog Walkers, SF Sitters, Professional United Pet Sitters, and Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. She offers off-leash exercise and playtime at a fenced-in, 3 acre private ranch. Up to 1.5 hours of exercise and socialization with a pack in a safe and controlled environment. She takes great pride and joy in what she does, and cares for each individual pet as if they were her own.

Dog Grrl was started in 1997 by owner and operator Jenny Test. Dog Grrl thrived and grew into a doggie daycare space in San Francisco that offered small dog daycare, puppy socials with classes with Smarty Pup and a BnB style boarding facility in Healdsburg California. As the business grew so did the desire to help dogs overcome their fears and anxieties so Jenny went to the Academy for Dog Trainers offered at the SPCA and taught by Jean Donaldson. Jenny graduated with honors and went on to apply everything she learned through the Academy to her business on every level. Hi I am Jenny and I love dogs and ALL other life.......The End

I grew up living with and loving dogs. When my kids were young I hired dog walkers and was always curious about the job. In 2013, we got our dog Lily and I became and licensed dog walker and started A Walk in the Park. Since then I've done group walks at Fort Funston, Bernal Hill, Stern Grove and McLaren Park. I also do doggie daycare and boarding in my home in Noe Valley. I love spending my days outside with dogs and feel very grateful to do this work.

I only board dogs that are enrolled in my daily group walks. I walk dogs of all shapes and sizes even though my profile says I only walk small dogs. I don't know how that happened or how to change it.

R Positive specializes in small dogs off-leash hiking. We work to improve canine and human socialization, practice recall and encourage healthy play! R Positive dog walking employs only reward-based training methods and We require the family be on board with not using any pain or fear based techniques as they would conflict with our philosophy and cause future problems for the dog.
