Hello! My name is Paul and my dog walking business, The Perfect Pooch, is an owner operated dog walking business established in 2002. I offer force-free group outings to the Walter Hass Dog Park which is an enclosed dog park located in Diamond Heights. I currently have two groups, one in the late morning and one in the afternoon. The main focus of my dog walking business is to make sure that all my clients dogs experience fun & safe playtime each day. I provide equal attention to all of my clients dogs and make sure that they are well taken care of as if they were my own personal dogs. I have always had a deep love and passion for dogs. Their loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love have always fascinated me. So, it was only natural for me to turn my passion into a business. Twelve years ago, I decided to start a dog walking business. I wanted to provide a reliable and trustworthy service for pet owners who needed someone to care for their furry friends when they couldn’t be there themselves. I focused on building my credibility and knowledge. I attended dog training and behavior classes to understand how to handle different breeds and temperaments. Additionally, I obtained certifications in pet first aid and CPR to ensure I could provide the necessary care.

I have always loved animals and since I could remember I was wanting to work alongside animals. My first job when I was just 16 was working in an animal clinic. While I learned a lot and had many experiences, it was a little sad that most of these animals were sick. My introduction to walking dogs professionally came from my employment with A Girl and Your Dog.

We walk dogs! Servicing Redwood City and anywhere in a 2-mile radius. These prices includes pick up and drop off within radius: -30 minute walk for $35 (each additional dog per household is $20) -60 minute walk for $65 (each additional dog per household is $20) These prices DON'T include pick up and drop off: -30 minute walk for $25 (each additional dog per household is $15) -60 minute walk for $45 (each additional dog per household is $15) You can drop off at 1540 Hudson Street in RWC If you'd like to add daycare, there would be an additional fee of $40 per day (max of 5 hours).

I specialize in small breeds only! I am insured and my home has been inspected to foster by the ASPCA. That being said we provide a loving home environment for your family member. I have cared for many seniors and have extensive experience with special needs dogs. I provide enrichment activities such as snuffle mats, lick mats, frozen healthy treats, a tunnel, and backyard jumps. We are kennel free. I provide boarding and daycare and have about 100 repeat clients! So we have different dogs coming and going daily, although I keep the number of pups at 5. Dogs in my care must be social with other dogs and cannot have separation anxiety or obsessive behaviors.
