I have always loved animals and since I could remember I was wanting to work alongside animals. My first job when I was just 16 was working in an animal clinic. While I learned a lot and had many experiences, it was a little sad that most of these animals were sick. My introduction to walking dogs professionally came from my employment with A Girl and Your Dog.

Founded by Leah Mendonca, a Certified Fear Free Professional with Pet First Aid certification, Monterey Dog helps you and your companions live your best lives together. Services include: one-on-one dog walking and hikes, in-home or hotel pet sitting, overnight pet sitting, curated pet adventures, and wedding pet attendant services.

We are a 501(c)(3) Non Profit utilizing Species Appropriate, Restorative, Animal Centered, Holistic Rescue & Training models. We are a welfare based organization. We do dogwalks 5 times a week . All pets are screened for being safe with people and dogs during initial Phone and in person interview with dog and guardian. Our dogwalking service is at Fort funston in San Francisco, a magnificent park near the ocean. We also provide petsitting . We accept adult dogs ages 1 year and older Dogs for early morning and midday group walks available. Rates are $30- per walk. Join up now while we have spots available!
