Hi, there! I am a CPDT-KA credentialed, Fear-Free Certified dog trainer living and practicing out of San Francisco. I have an extensive background in the shelter and rescue world, and am also very passionate about purebred dogs, breed-specific behavioral traits, and helping urban dogs find activities that ignite their genetic strengths and talents. I am proud to use only rewards-based, motivational training methods. I train in a way that is fluid, exciting, and highly engaging, ensuring that every dog I work with WANTS to learn. My special areas of interest include puppy development, leash skills, reactivity, fears and sensitivities, cooperative care, scentwork, and general household skills.

With degrees in Psychology, Parent Education and Early Childhood Education Nancy is capable of using learning theory as is applies to humans as well as dogs. Trained in Behavioral Psychology and professional dog pack management, Nancy is also certified in Pet CPR and First Aid and is a graduate of DogBiz Professional dog walking.

We are proud parents to a senior American Pitbull Terrier, a senior Black and Tan Coonhound, two guinea pigs, a Three Toed Box turtle, and lots of fish. We are all animals all the time here, and we wouldn't have it any other way! We provide dog walking and drop in visits from 9:00am until 8:00pm, 7 days per week. We do NOT offer overnight sitting or boarding in our home at this time. We are happy to provide references upon request. We accept payment via credit card, Venmo, Zelle, check, or cash. I volunteer at the SF SPCA Shelter Medicine, specializing in shelter pets that require medical attention and care in stressful conditions. My responsibilities include administering oral medication, medical baths, physical therapy, and grooming. Once Upon a Dog Walk is a professional dog walking service for busy, urban, dog owners. Group walks last for a minimum of 90 minutes on the ground. Depending on the order of pickup and location, your pup will be out of the house between 2 - 4hrs. We are licensed and insured in the city of San Francisco and look forward to taking your pup on romps on our coastal trails and beaches!
