I have always had a deep love and passion for dogs. Their loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love have always fascinated me. So, it was only natural for me to turn my passion into a business. Twelve years ago, I decided to start a dog walking business. I wanted to provide a reliable and trustworthy service for pet owners who needed someone to care for their furry friends when they couldn’t be there themselves. I focused on building my credibility and knowledge. I attended dog training and behavior classes to understand how to handle different breeds and temperaments. Additionally, I obtained certifications in pet first aid and CPR to ensure I could provide the necessary care.

I started walktime in 2019 after working for someone else for a year because I knew that working with dogs is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Also I wanted to provide a trustworthy service that’s owner operated to people in a city full of question marks.

We cater to clients who want or need one-on-one support for their dogs because they are fearful, reactive, aggressive, or just need more attention in their care. Whether it's a walk or drop-in visit to provide company and enrichment, your pet is in good hands with a professional who has years of experience working with dogs who have behavior problems in shelter and clinical settings.

At Viking Dog Hiking, we specialize in professional, family-style dog boarding where your pup is treated like one of our own. My wife and I provide 24-hour love, structure, and exercise in a safe home environment. Along with boarding, we offer structured walks and positive reinforcement training to enrich every stay. My background includes work with East Bay Humane/Berkeley Humane, SF SPCA, and advanced studies at the Karen Pryor Academy. From playful puppies to senior dogs, we bring expertise and compassion to every dog in our care.

Helping pet guardians overcome their dog’s behavior challenges with personalized training and behavior consulting. I offer in-home training, private day training, training walks, and pet sitting for challenging dogs. I started Rad Rover because I want to help those who want to do better for their dogs who wouldn't otherwise have access to this kind of support. Compassion for people wanting to do better for their dogs is just as important as compassion for our animals. Using trauma informed care strategies that I previously learned and used while working in nonprofit housing, I aim to help educate and build relationships with people about their dogs needs. Unlike a lot of local walkers, we are breed inclusive and understand that people are products of their situations and context. Lynda Mortensen, the owner of Bay Area Pet Pals, has been a small business owner for over 26 years. Her love of animals has remained with her throughout her childhood and prompted her to learn various pet care techniques and how to administer pet first aid. Lynda has opened her heart to adopt many pets over the years and she loves helping other pet owners care for their own pets. She trains each Pet Pal employee to follow specific guidelines. You will never have to worry about re-schedules due to sickness or vacations – there is always an equally trained Pet Pal available to ensure that every appointment and pet visit is covered.
