I started walktime in 2019 after working for someone else for a year because I knew that working with dogs is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Also I wanted to provide a trustworthy service that’s owner operated to people in a city full of question marks.

Nakama Dog Training uses force-free, science-based methods to help you and your dog build and maintain a healthy, happy relationship, with emphasis on nurturing your dog's natural behavior while also learning how to behave in a well-mannered way. I'm Lauri Green (they/them), a dog trainer passionate about positive reinforcement and animal liberation. In 2018, adopting my dog led me to become a full-time trainer. My approach is fun, reward-based, specializing in clicker training, confidence-building for shy/rescue dogs, socialization, and off-leash skills. As an animal liberation activist and vegan, my work is driven by deep empathy for animals. I find nothing more rewarding than helping dogs thrive. We look for consistent, reliable, long-term pack members, who are eager to have fun/exercise and go on daily adventures with their “second” family:) we offer off-leash pack hikes/walks, as well as daycare.
