A Girl and Your Dog is a tightly knit team of dog savvy professionals passionate about helping you provide your dog with the best possible experience. We offer full and half day play at our ranch in Montara. We service Mission Bay, Dogpatch, Potrero, and Bernal Heights.

I offer dog walking, dog sitting, exotic pet sitting, and cat sitting in your home! I have great references and am in the process of becoming insured/bonded.

Over the years, I've had the pleasure of looking after a wide range of pets. My love for animals runs deep, and I take great joy in making sure they're well taken care of. The best part is that my daughter shares this passion. Together, we have a blast hanging out with the dogs we host in our home. We can't wait to meet your furry friends!

I'm Lauri Green (they/them), a dog trainer passionate about positive reinforcement and animal liberation. In 2018, adopting my dog led me to become a full-time trainer. I started a professional dog walking business in San Francisco, CA in the summer of 1992. I walked dogs and boarded dogs in San Francisco for 27 wonderful years. At the end of 2019, I made the decision to move out of San Francisco and move back to the East Bay, where I was born and raised. In 2020, I moved to beautiful Castro Valley and now I am boarding dogs ( small dogs only ) out of my home. I have a lovely park-like backyard, complete with its own "dog park" (synthetic lawn). I rescued a shelter dog in the middle of the pandemic. He is a 15 pound mixed breed dog named Fonzie. Fonzie gets along great with all dogs. I am licensed, bonded and insured.

I started dog sitting after noticing a gap in the market. Daycares juggling numerous clients at can’t possibly cater to each dog’s unique needs. I commit to ONE dog at a time and providing individualized, structured care. Your dog will never be subjected to yelling, yanking, or punishing. I lead with compassion and gentleness - an approach they deserve. I provide care at my residence, offering 24/7 supervision for SA pups, exercise, and frequent photo updates. Currently, I watch dogs ~50lbs and under based on space limitations. Pit bull type dogs/mixes welcome.
