Modern Hound is owned and operated by Shoshi Parks, Ph.D., CPDT-ka, CSAT. Shoshi is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT). She completed the San Francisco SPCA's Dog Training Internship Program and Public Teaching Internship and is certified by the Canine Behavior Academy of the Marin Humane Society. In addition to her private dog training, Shoshi taught for several years at the San Francisco SPCA and continues to teach at other locations around the city. Shoshi also works with high-risk dogs adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley.

A graduate of the Dog Training Internship Academy - a comprehensive program that provided me with a thorough understanding of animal behavior & learning and focused on the use of science-based training techniques to change both a dog's behavior and a dog's underlying emotional state that may be driving undesirable behavior. I'm also certified by The Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers. This requires that I have a minimum of 300 hours of experience; references from a veterinarian, client, and colleague(s); and have passed a comprehensive examination testing my knowledge of learning theory, canine ethology, animal husbandry, classroom management, and teaching techniques.

Jessica Ring is the owner of My Fantastic Friend, LLC. Jessica helps you bring out the best in your dog for a happier life together. She strives to provide the most effective, efficient, humane and up-to-date training solutions to her human and canine clients. Jessica offers private and group training for puppies, basic skills, tricks and enrichment, as well as consultations for behavior problems and separation anxiety. Online options are available. Jessica is a Canine Behavior Consultant (PCBC-A), a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), an honors graduate of Jean Donaldson’s Academy for Dog Trainers (CTC), a Pat Miller Certified Trainer and SA Pro Behavior Consultant.

What started as a call to action and doing right by the furry friends in my life, this business was birthed from the trust and encouragement of my friends who had dogs and needed support. Fourteen years later, my team and I are ever grateful to have supported hundreds of pet owners, and made some life long friendships along the way. From Daycare support seven days a week, and Boarding overnight three hundred and sixty five a year, my passionate team is ready to support with your requested needs. Wigwag Club provides safe and fun professional dog walks in Portland's Rose City Park neighborhood. Walks are focused around enrichment for your best friend by encouraging lots of sniffs, teaching new tricks, and reinforcing polite manners both on leash and on the trail.

Started in 2018 we evolved from the Coachella Valley Dog Club (which started in 2008) into an even bigger concept to serve the needs of the Coachella Valley. All it took was two dog-obsessed best friends and a shared dream for all dogs to be treated equally. One a trainer and behavior consultant and one a medical practitioner. Both with a love of their big dogs, their families, and tenacity to make their dreams happen. We have one of only two local Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed and Associate Credentialed Dog Behavior Consultants as a part of our driving team. They are also a certified trick dog instructor and fear-free certified.

Steph trains everyone to meet dogs where they are! She utilizes force free techniques, whether dogs need a little extra help feeling safe, learning how to play with other dogs, learning how to trust people, or just plain making sure they get their exercise while they are out and about (and coming back when called!) She strives to help people learn how to understand their dog while cutting down on undesirable behaviors. Steph has a particular soft spot for all guard dog breeds, from shepherds to bullies, and especially enjoys working with them. My name is Juliana and Pawsome Pupstars Dog Training is my private business. I was a dog walker before becoming a dog trainer. I am CPDT-KA and Fear Free certified. I am located in Brooklyn, NY. Jan Marinelli is a Positive Reinforcement / Force Free dog trainer located in the Summerville, South Carolina region. Jan believes that her work is to help dogs and their humans communicate more clearly to each other for the enrichment of their lives together. Throughout this work, she offers support and encouragement to both canines and humans to learn new behaviors through healthy play, lots of praise, and practice. Jan has successfully completed Pat Miller's Level 1 training. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen trainer and evaluator.
