​My name is Chris Durrant, CPDT-KA. I am a Professional, Certificated Dog Trainer. I specialize in fear and reactivity in dogs. I truly enjoy solving companion dog behaviors and teaching people how to do so. I love and understand dogs on a deep level - how they learn and think, what makes them happy and attentive and what causes them to act out. Whether your dog pulls on leash, chews up the furniture, barks at other dogs or is fearful of things, I can help. My training techniques are designed to be fun, build confidence (for you and your dog), and change behaviors quickly and effectively. I take pride in offering force-free, scientifically proven methods. ​

I've been training for 8 years and I have extensive experience in the daycare and boarding environment, training and caring for hundreds of dogs over 6 years. I'm passionate about helping all dogs and their pet parents, especially with fear and anxiety issues, as well as teaching dogs to relax and be calm while building their confidence, which is an integral part of my training curriculum. It was the love of my life, Jane, my Jack Russell Terrier of almost 18 years, who inspired me to pursue a career in dog training and is the dog behind the name, See Jane Dog Behavior and Training.

Hi there! Happy Scamper was started in 2013 with one goal in mind-- providing the highest quality care for pups and their humans. I specialize in using reward-based techniques to help families with dogs that are considered difficult, whether it is dog-dog aggression, resource guarding, aggression towards humans, reactivity to objects, noises, fearful/shutdown dogs. I also work with dogs that have had a bite history. In addition, I have a SmartPuppy Program that helps you grow puppies into smart, confident dogs and prevent many issues rather than fix them later. I use games, toys and food to train with fun and kindness.
