Great Companions offers force-free, positive reinforcement training, mostly using the clicker, to help people and their dogs develop great communication skills and trust. In addition to private lessons, Great Companions offers classes in Puppy Manners, Foundations, Advanced Manners, Canine Good Citizen, Rally, Agility, Scent Work, Reactive Dog Class, Tricks, Treiball, Confidence Building, Parkour, and other specialty classes. Class size is small to maximize individual attention.

I am Paul Inman, CTBC, a certified behavior consultant and trainer. I specialize in helping you raise your puppy or kitten in the urban & suburban environment and meeting your individual companion’s unique needs. I offer 1-hour behavioral consultations on any topic to help you understand your pet’s behavior and needs at any stage of life. I work remotely and offer online training plans on a monthly subscription basis. You are in control of the process and my coaching will help you formulate and reach your goals!

I strive to accomplish this and it is fun doing so. I am extremely vigilant about your dogs safety and am constantly striving towards educating myself on the best force free training methods in order to establish a loving relationship between myself and your canine companion. I train through gaining trust and build strong relationships with the dogs this way. I am not afraid to use treats and love. These are my tools. This means no shock, prong or choke chains or physical punishment. And lastly, we have sooo much fun!

In the past, I've worked as a trainer at Wag Hotel (classes), Zoom Room (classes and private training) and most recently Peninsula Humane Society (classes and behavior consults). I'm a Certified Professional dog trainer offering in-home private coaching, day training, pet-sitting and enrichment adventure walks in the Tulsa metro area! I believe in providing choice and agency to dogs and empowering dog guardians to better understand their companions. I don't use or teach compulsion or punishment. I have been a professional dog trainer in NYC for 15 years. As a child, I participated in dog agility and showmanship through 4-H and won several local and state competitions. I began my path to become a trainer by receiving a certification from the vocational school, Animal Behavioral College. When I began to hit a wall in my self-education four years ago, I enrolled in CUNY's Psychology program, and will be graduating May, 2025 with honors with an interdisciplinary BA in Animal Psychology and Creative Writing. I am currently volunteering as a Research Assistant for the Center for Canine Behavioral Studies, as well as assisting in a lab at Hunter studying Pandas. I am also a PPG member.
