Dog Grrl was started in 1997 by owner and operator Jenny Test. Dog Grrl thrived and grew into a doggie daycare space in San Francisco that offered small dog daycare, puppy socials with classes with Smarty Pup and a BnB style boarding facility in Healdsburg California. As the business grew so did the desire to help dogs overcome their fears and anxieties so Jenny went to the Academy for Dog Trainers offered at the SPCA and taught by Jean Donaldson. Jenny graduated with honors and went on to apply everything she learned through the Academy to her business on every level. Hi I am Jenny and I love dogs and ALL other life.......The End

Prior to dog sitting, my pet care experience includes fostering rescues with Wonder Dog Rescue, Grateful Dogs Rescue and the SF/SPCA shelter. I also have experience as a volunteer dog walker at the SF/SPCA. I have experience working with dogs with a wide range of issues including: seniors, dogs with medical issues, including trauma and abuse/neglect. I have a special love for my work with fostering rescues, as well as walking shelter dogs. It’s an honor to have helped save the lives of many dogs. Hello! I have been servicing San Francisco since 2003. I am an R+ walker and I am certified in dog CPR and first aid. I do small groups- no more than 6 at a time-usually less. I do on leash walking only. I offer group walks and time permitting, solo walks. I also do drop-in visits for cats and dogs .I specialize in seniors, with a group dedicated to them so we can go at their pace. I take dogs that are 40 lbs and under, they must know basic commands, and how to walk properly on leash.

I’ve been working with dogs as a hobby for over 20 years. I grew up training my first dog in both obedience and agility, and I currently have three rescue dogs of my own. I love dogs, cats, and critters of all kinds! Wondering about the name? Gambit was one of my former dogs who has since crossed the rainbow bridge. Whenever she was being naughty, I would jokingly say “dog Gambit!” to her.
