Bernal Beast has been a mainstay in Bernal Heights for over 30 years, offering natural, organic, raw pet foods to the neighborhood and beyond. Since 2020, we’ve run positive reinforcement training classes for your newly-adopted puppies and dogs. All of our trainers are graduates of the acclaimed Academy for Dog Trainers, a rigorous academic program that educates trainers in evidence-based dog behavior, training, and private behavior counseling. Leo has worked professionally with dogs for over 20 years, primarily in shelters where pups are understandably stressed and in need of targeted behavioral support. I've been working professionally with dogs since 2011. I started my canine career as a professional dog walker in San Francisco and later earned my CTBC certification as a dog trainer and behavioral consultant through DTIASF (Dog Training Internship Academy of SF) as well as my CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) certification. I currently offer both in-person and virtual dog training and behavioral consulting. My focus is on dogs struggling with reactivity by helping dog owners develop an effective management plan while we work to build confidence and teach new more appropriate skills.
