At Redwood Trail Dogs we work with you and your med-large dog to help increase your bond for a more enjoyable adventure! Based in Oakland, Cali - our flexible Training options combined with our small *Group Hybrid Training/Hiking Adventures, we'll teach your dog the desired skills using only Positive Reinforcement & Force Free methods in highly enriching environments. I love helping adolescents, fearful and reactive dogs. *Group Hiking Adventures are also avail w/out training and focus on socialization, high activity & safe 'Big Dog Play" - for the skilled dog. + 10+ yrs Training experience + Pet 1st Aid/CPR Cert. + Transported w/ Seatbelts & addtn'l vehicle safety features.

Julia is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP), having graduated with distinction. She specializes in helping anxious, fearful, or reactive dogs feel safer and more confident through gentle, science-backed, in-home behavior support. Instead of obedience drills, I focus on understanding emotions, building trust, and creating real-life behavior change that lasts. Her approach blends empathy, practicality, and fun, providing quick wins and effective strategies to help families and dogs thrive. North Star Canine LLC specializes in behavioral modification training & K9 Nose Work. Located in Dutchess County, NY we serve Dutchess, Ulster, Putnam, parts of Westchester, Greene, and Orange counties. Accessibility is our first priority, we keep our prices fair, come to you, and offer virtual lessons for anyone outside out service area.

We are about community. Everyday we strive to make something better in serving our clients and their dogs. Julia, the business owner, is passionate about dogs and their care. This will be our 22nd year of serving our San Francisco community. Our daycare and boarding is based out of my 2,500 sq ft home, with a large backyard. We love what we do. We use only force free, R+ training methods. All of our staff are employees and we provide health, dental and retirement benefits.
