Hello, my name is Dieuwke van der Velde, I am a positive reinforcement dog trainer in San Jose, CA and owner of Orion Dog Training. I got my credentials through the Animal Behavior College where I did my internship at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. I teach online for Sirius Puppy and recently opened a small training center in West San Jose where we offer safe socialization classes for puppies, group classes in basic obedience , puppy agility and tricks.

I'm a Certified Professional dog trainer offering in-home private coaching, day training, pet-sitting and enrichment adventure walks in the Tulsa metro area! I believe in providing choice and agency to dogs and empowering dog guardians to better understand their companions. I don't use or teach compulsion or punishment. The Life of Kai is a 501-c3. Our vision is to have fewer displaced dogs in the shelters and more pets in the homes. We hope to reach our goal through several programs. Humane education teaches empathy to build a kinder and compassionate generation. Training and dog behavior books based on science are available to the public with free and easy access. Coaching new adopters and guardians and teaching pet dogs to co-exist through better understanding of canine behaviors. Working pro-bono with rescues and fosters to make rescued dogs more adoptable and supporting a foster-centric community by creating a foster registry.
