We have thousands of playgroup walks under our belts learning the in's and out's of dog behavior, safe handling, positive reinforcement training, dog park etiquette, and adorable picture taking! Our pups enjoy off leash walks in a beautiful private fenced acreage lot with occasional visits to Funston! As of 2019 my wife Vanessa officially joined Happy Scamper making us a family run business with 16 years combined experience. I became a full-time traveling house sitter in July 2020 and have thoroughly enjoyed this as I love to travel and staying in different homes to care for their pets. I work remotely as an insurance auditor so I am home often. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising 6 days a week as I am a retired triathlete.

I have an extensive background in the shelter and rescue world, and am also very passionate about purebred dogs, breed-specific behavioral traits, and helping urban dogs find activities that ignite their genetic strengths and talents. With over 40 years of working with dogs and animals in 2015 he decided to board dogs in order to determine his next 4-legged pal. Unfortunately, or fortunately he was blessed with a lot of business and wonderful clients. His pastime quickly turned into a business of love. Lynda Mortensen, the owner of Bay Area Pet Pals, has been a small business owner for over 26 years. Her love of animals has remained with her throughout her childhood and prompted her to learn various pet care techniques and how to administer pet first aid. Lynda has opened her heart to adopt many pets over the years and she loves helping other pet owners care for their own pets. She trains each Pet Pal employee to follow specific guidelines. You will never have to worry about re-schedules due to sickness or vacations – there is always an equally trained Pet Pal available to ensure that every appointment and pet visit is covered. Action Dog! specializes in off-leash Adventure Hikes around the East Bay Regional Parks and is committed to offering a reliable, dependable, and affordable dog walking service to people who want their dogs to enjoy life as much as possible. Our hikes are fun, we encourage dogs to be themselves and sniff, play and explore safely. We positively reinforce good behavior, and provide dogs an outlet for healthy socialization as well as daily practice of basic commands and trail etiquette.
