Canine Higher Learning offers group training classes at all levels from basic obedience to advanced and competitive dog sports. We also offer dog behavior consulting for a variety of dog behavior problems including dog aggression, leash reactivity, and child/dog relationships.

Kate Johnson is a professional Dog Trainer with a very simple philosophy. I've been working professionally with dogs since 2011. I started my canine career as a professional dog walker in San Francisco and later earned my CTBC certification as a dog trainer and behavioral consultant through DTIASF (Dog Training Internship Academy of SF) as well as my CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) certification. I currently offer both in-person and virtual dog training and behavioral consulting. My focus is on dogs struggling with reactivity by helping dog owners develop an effective management plan while we work to build confidence and teach new more appropriate skills.

We offer group and private lessons for all ages & breeds. You'll participate in socialization, fun and education. We DO NOT offer punishment-based training including the use of e-collars. Groups classes coach you and your dog on how to work as a team. Topics include Puppy Manners, Adult Manners, Agility, Rally, Tricks, Rally FunGility, AKC FIT DOG, Scentwork, Fetch! and Therapy Dog. Can't attend a regularly scheduled group class? Is your pup too shy or lively to work around other dogs? Private lessons can be scheduled either at our facility or your home. Lessons available for both Puppies and Adult dogs.

RT provides Training & Group Adventures for large & working breed dogs. We believe our dog's best teachers are our own alumni dogs, trained by us. By using a combo of individual relationship-based training, with small group sessions that include enrichment, exposure & socialization, we've been successful w/ improving dog's skills & increasing desirable behaviors. We enjoy helping adolescents, fearful/reactive, high energy dogs. *GROUP ADVENTURES are structured, focused on socialization w/ high activity & guided safe 'Big Dog Play". Rate $55 *TRAINING ADVENTURES provide clear transfer of skills to guardians w/ cont. education. Rate $150/session (2mo/2xwk req'd) Ref. Avail. R+, FF & LIFE
