Dog Grrl was started in 1997 by owner and operator Jenny Test. Dog Grrl thrived and grew into a doggie daycare space in San Francisco that offered small dog daycare, puppy socials with classes with Smarty Pup and a BnB style boarding facility in Healdsburg California. As the business grew so did the desire to help dogs overcome their fears and anxieties so Jenny went to the Academy for Dog Trainers offered at the SPCA and taught by Jean Donaldson. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of looking after a wide range of pets. My love for animals runs deep, and I take great joy in making sure they're well taken care of. The best part is that my daughter shares this passion. Together, we have a blast hanging out with the dogs we host in our home. We can't wait to meet your furry friends!

Dogs love me, and I love them. I've had dogs my whole life. Whether it's for a walk or an extended stay, I will treat your dog as though they're my own. We take long walks and go to the park daily. At home, they can use the fenced yard while supervised, but typically they're too tired and just want to relax and sleep. There are dog beds, bowls, toys, and a small crate. To develop strong bonds with the dogs, form cohesive packs, and ensure they get plenty of exercise, we do not use a car. We explore San Francisco on foot as we visit the local off leash dog parks. I volunteer at the SF SPCA Shelter Medicine, specializing in shelter pets that require medical attention and care in stressful conditions. My responsibilities include administering oral medication, medical baths, physical therapy, and grooming.
