I am Paul Inman, CTBC, a certified behavior consultant and trainer. I specialize in helping you raise your puppy or kitten in the urban & suburban environment and meeting your individual companion’s unique needs. I offer 1-hour behavioral consultations on any topic to help you understand your pet’s behavior and needs at any stage of life. I work remotely and offer online training plans on a monthly subscription basis. You are in control of the process and my coaching will help you formulate and reach your goals!

She offers classes, behavior modification services, workshops and academies for trainers at her Peaceable Paws 80-acre training facility in Fairplay, Maryland, and presents seminars worldwide. She has authored “The Power of Positive Dog Training,” “Positive Perspectives,” “Positive Perspectives 2,” “Play With Your Dog,” “Do-Over Dogs,” and “How to Foster Dogs,” and “Beware of the Dog,” and is training editor for The Whole Dog Journal. She shares her home with husband Paul, three dogs, five cats, three horses, four chickens and a pot-bellied pig. All training at Peaceable Paws is force-free.

I've been working professionally with dogs since 2011. I started my canine career as a professional dog walker in San Francisco and later earned my CTBC certification as a dog trainer and behavioral consultant through DTIASF (Dog Training Internship Academy of SF) as well as my CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) certification. I currently offer both in-person and virtual dog training and behavioral consulting. My focus is on dogs struggling with reactivity by helping dog owners develop an effective management plan while we work to build confidence and teach new more appropriate skills.

Specializing in solo R+ walks, on leash (long lead) for dogs experiencing reactivity and animal communication techniques to assist in understanding your dogs behavioral patterns and individual needs. This approach leads to an outcome of people who feel confident and safe navigating the world with their dogs. Walks are enrichment focused allowing them to use their brain and senses to unwind. For my clients who are actively working with an R+ trainer I am in regular contact with that trainer to support you and your dog’s training journey. My business name was chosen because that is what we're working with in order to help every dog- the inner dog, their brain. I've been helping dogs and their human companions for 17 years. I have been privileged to work with many dogs who, presenting with a wide variety of challenges, have taught me so much, each leaving me with a legacy to pass on in helping other dogs. Creating trust allows us to teach skills, change behaviors, thus creating that special partnership between our canine friends and their human companions.
