Hi there! Happy Scamper was started in 2013 with one goal in mind-- providing the highest quality care for pups and their humans. We have thousands of playgroup walks under our belts learning the in's and out's of dog behavior, safe handling, positive reinforcement training, dog park etiquette, and adorable picture taking! Our pups enjoy off leash walks in a beautiful private fenced acreage lot with occasional visits to Funston! As of 2019 my wife Vanessa officially joined Happy Scamper making us a family run business with 16 years combined experience. Lynda Mortensen, the owner of Bay Area Pet Pals, has been a small business owner for over 26 years. Her love of animals has remained with her throughout her childhood and prompted her to learn various pet care techniques and how to administer pet first aid. Lynda has opened her heart to adopt many pets over the years and she loves helping other pet owners care for their own pets. She trains each Pet Pal employee to follow specific guidelines. You will never have to worry about re-schedules due to sickness or vacations – there is always an equally trained Pet Pal available to ensure that every appointment and pet visit is covered. Bay Area Pet Pals is a licensed, bonded, and insured company.

I’ve been working with dogs as a hobby for over 20 years. I grew up training my first dog in both obedience and agility, and I currently have three rescue dogs of my own. I love dogs, cats, and critters of all kinds! Wondering about the name? Gambit was one of my former dogs who has since crossed the rainbow bridge. Whenever she was being naughty, I would jokingly say “dog Gambit!” to her.

Hi! I’m a positive reinforcement dog trainer! I am CPDT-KA certified as well as having 2 college degrees in canine science and assistance dog education (service dogs!). My passion is dog training and I’m able to help you and your dog work through behavioral issues like excessive barking, pulling on leash, recall. If you just got a puppy I absolutely adore teaching fundamental basic life skills, obedience, potty training and more! I am also able to do service dog and therapy dog training.
