These methods are backed by science and are force free to ensure our dogs are learning what appropriate behaviors will get them what they need and want.

I've been working professionally with dogs since 2011. I started my canine career as a professional dog walker in San Francisco and later earned my CTBC certification as a dog trainer and behavioral consultant through DTIASF (Dog Training Internship Academy of SF) as well as my CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) certification. I currently offer both in-person and virtual dog training and behavioral consulting. My focus is on dogs struggling with reactivity by helping dog owners develop an effective management plan while we work to build confidence and teach new more appropriate skills.

At The Cooperative Canine LLC, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of dogs and the people who love them through reward-based training and behavior modification techniques that are rooted in science and delivered with kindness. We set you and your best friend up for success by offering individualized training plans that address everything from basic manners and foundational skills, to complex behavior challenges including aggression, reactivity, and fear-based behaviors. With multiple behavior and training certifications, including a KPA-CTP & Master's in Animal Shelter Management, and over a decade of experience, owner & operator Kiyoka (“Kiyo”) Tamesue is not just any dog trainer.

We are a fear-free certified practice. We offer fear-free grooming, puppy grooming training, and behavior consulting including behavioral modification for scared dogs. Our founder is a CBCC-KA (Certified Behavior consultant-canine) certified by the CCPDT, as well as a IAABC member. Dogs are family to us.

Specializing in solo R+ walks, on leash (long lead) for dogs experiencing reactivity and animal communication techniques to assist in understanding your dogs behavioral patterns and individual needs. This approach leads to an outcome of people who feel confident and safe navigating the world with their dogs. Walks are enrichment focused allowing them to use their brain and senses to unwind. For my clients who are actively working with an R+ trainer I am in regular contact with that trainer to support you and your dog’s training journey. We are about community. Everyday we strive to make something better in serving our clients and their dogs. Julia, the business owner, is passionate about dogs and their care. This will be our 27th year of serving our San Francisco community. We offer dog walking, off leash adventures. Daycare and dog boarding. Our daycare and boarding is based out of my 2,500 sq ft home, with a large backyard. We love what we do. We use only force free, R+ training methods. All of our staff are employees and we provide health, dental and retirement benefits.

Wigwag Club provides safe and fun professional dog walks in Portland's Rose City Park neighborhood. Walks are focused around enrichment for your best friend by encouraging lots of sniffs, teaching new tricks, and reinforcing polite manners both on leash and on the trail.
