I always use Positive Reinforcement and Rewards-Based methods in all my training. Behavior Modification is always done using scientifically proven methods to modify, reshape or extinguish the unwanted behavior. I believe in being patient, compassionate, helping the dog to reshape its behavior at a comfortable pace for the dog, and doing it with confidence. That is where training you - the person - to train your dog, comes into my training philosophy.

Owner/Operator of my small business since 2004. I have no internet presence and have run my business by word of mouth all these years. We have thousands of playgroup walks under our belts learning the in's and out's of dog behavior, safe handling, positive reinforcement training, dog park etiquette, and adorable picture taking! Our pups enjoy off leash walks in a beautiful private fenced acreage lot with occasional visits to Funston! As of 2019 my wife Vanessa officially joined Happy Scamper making us a family run business with 16 years combined experience. I have over 20 years experience working with animals, including 5 working in an animal shelter. I have experience with reactive, shy/fearful, and jumpy/mouthy dogs. I am committed to Fear-Free handling and love watching animals getting to be themselves.
