I’m a professional, certified dog trainer, specializing in puppy training and basic obedience. I offer dog training, reinforcement walks, and pet sitting. I’m based in NYC, but will travel to Philly, NJ, and CT.

I have loved animals all my life and feel a connection to dogs in particular. I have been training dogs professionally for 25 years and have been active in the rescue/shelter world for 30 years. I teach owners how to work with their dogs in a positive, fear-free environment and enhance the bond they have with their dog through consistent feedback and reinforcement. I work with dogs of all ages and breeds and have extensive knowledge with dogs that have behavioral concerns. On the flip side, I become the student when I attend workshops and seminars to learn new training methods. The field of animal behavior continues to evolve as well as our understanding of how animals learn.

With over eight years of experience, I provide professional R+ dog training and dog walking services. I specialize in providing and training towards an off-leash group walk that's safe and fun using R+ means and methods. I'm an affiliate of The Muzzle Movement and offer local fitting sessions with their current range of basket sizes. We are a fear-free certified practice. We offer fear-free grooming, puppy grooming training, and behavior consulting including behavioral modification for scared dogs. Our founder is a CBCC-KA (Certified Behavior consultant-canine) certified by the CCPDT, as well as a IAABC member. Dogs are family to us.

I offer pet care with a personal touch! For small dogs only. My services include private walks, group walks on and off-leash (since 2005), pet sitting in my home (since 1993), and cat visits.

I have been a professional dog trainer in NYC for 15 years. As a child, I participated in dog agility and showmanship through 4-H and won several local and state competitions. I began my path to become a trainer by receiving a certification from the vocational school, Animal Behavioral College. When I began to hit a wall in my self-education four years ago, I enrolled in CUNY's Psychology program, and will be graduating May, 2025 with honors with an interdisciplinary BA in Animal Psychology and Creative Writing. I am currently volunteering as a Research Assistant for the Center for Canine Behavioral Studies, as well as assisting in a lab at Hunter studying Pandas. I am also a PPG member.
