I am Gigi, founder of ~mascotas~ Dog walking and Pet sitting services with over five years of experience taking care of pets. We are helping San Francisco’s pet owners whose dog/cat struggle with leash reactivity, social anxiety, fear, shyness, are seniors, and/or sick. We tailor each pet’s plan to their unique needs to minimize their triggers. Our approach is patience, building trust with your pet, providing a safe environment, positive reinforcement, and lots of love. By focusing on individualized care plans and solo dog walking ~mascotas~ has been able to put all our years of experience and pet shelter volunteering to good use. I have been a dog walker, sitter and have boarded dogs for over four years. I have taken care of senior dogs, large breed dogs, puppies and adolescents. I volunteered at an animal shelter where I took many dog handling workshops and am Fear Free certified and first aid CPR certified. I use a positive reinforcement, partnership based, compassionate tuning in approach when walking or otherwise interacting with dogs. I strive to meet the physical and emotional needs of animals through sufficient attention, affection, exercise, and exposure to nature.

I've been training for 8 years and I have extensive experience in the daycare and boarding environment, training and caring for hundreds of dogs over 6 years. I'm passionate about helping all dogs and their pet parents, especially with fear and anxiety issues, as well as teaching dogs to relax and be calm while building their confidence, which is an integral part of my training curriculum. It was the love of my life, Jane, my Jack Russell Terrier of almost 18 years, who inspired me to pursue a career in dog training and is the dog behind the name, See Jane Dog Behavior and Training.

Based in Oregon, I focus on trust, connection, and lasting change for dogs and their families. My approach goes beyond behavior—it nurtures emotional, physical, and relational well-being.
