I am located in Mill Valley and service Mill Valley and Sausalito for my pack walks. The pack walks 1 hour off-leash walks and adventures in parks and beaches nearby. I also offer pet-sitting and boarding Fridays after 12:30 until Sunday night if you live outside of Marin. I started Salty Paws SF in 2023 after working for another dog walking business for about a year and a half. I also walked for another company called Luck Dog from 2007-2009.

SF RUFF RUN focuses on maintaining a pack that has routine and trust! We look for consistent, reliable, long-term pack members, who are eager to have fun/exercise and go on daily adventures with their “second” family:) we offer off-leash pack hikes/walks, as well as daycare. I've been working professionally with dogs since 2011. I started my canine career as a professional dog walker in San Francisco and later earned my CTBC certification as a dog trainer and behavioral consultant through DTIASF (Dog Training Internship Academy of SF) as well as my CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) certification. I currently offer both in-person and virtual dog training and behavioral consulting. My focus is on dogs struggling with reactivity by helping dog owners develop an effective management plan while we work to build confidence and teach new more appropriate skills.

I have been dog sitting & caring for pets for well over 30 years. We started our paid sitting in 2012 when our son wanted to pet sit to raise money for a school trip. I feel like our pets are more like children and are an expansion of our family. They deserve to showered with love, kindness & patience. I was raised in the country where we cared for a myriad of farm animals. I have worked with veterinarians assisting during surgery, medication administration and training. While I am not a paid professional trainer I have trained our last 3 dogs (2 Huskies and a Lab). I love the opportunity to meet new people and fur children and look forward to spending time with them throughout the day.

Kayla Block, MA, CTC, founded Understanding Dog Training to help people and dogs understand each other better. Kayla is a graduate of the prestigious 2-year program at The Academy for Dog Trainers. Her business is focused on fear and aggression and she has a special heart for fearful dogs and leash reactivity.
