I have had dogs all my life the 22 years I grew up in The Netherlands. When I moved to San Francisco I felt that this was my calling; working as a professional with and for dogs! I have a psychology degree from The Netherlands, and finished the dog walking course before starting my own business. After that I wanted to learn more about dog psychology and training, so I took an intense course at a training academy. Every day I love my job more. The dogs are so happy and their gratitude makes every day a great day. My main goal is having as much fun with my pack as we can so that they can return home well satisfied from great exercise!

I was certified as a CPDT-KA and taught basic and intermediate skills in group classes for 17 years. Since the pandemic, I work with dog owners privately. I am a strong believer in the efficacy of positive reinforcement and continuously educate myself to strengthen my understanding of dog behavior. Teaching practicable solutions for impulse control related issues like jumping, excessive barking, leash pulling, etc are just the beginning of helping to create good communication and a strong bond between the dog and their families. I have been Providing Dog walks since 2015 and I have been affiliated with dogs (daycare & vet clinics) since 2010. Bay City Paws provides off leash walks around San Francisco parks and boarding services. We work on basic commands and polite manners during our walks.

I'm Lauri Green (they/them), a dog trainer passionate about positive reinforcement and animal liberation. In 2018, adopting my dog led me to become a full-time trainer. My approach is fun, reward-based, specializing in clicker training, confidence-building for shy/rescue dogs, socialization, and off-leash skills. Modern Hound is owned and operated by Shoshi Parks, Ph.D., CPDT-ka, CSAT. Shoshi is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT). She completed the San Francisco SPCA's Dog Training Internship Program and Public Teaching Internship and is certified by the Canine Behavior Academy of the Marin Humane Society. In addition to her private dog training, Shoshi taught for several years at the San Francisco SPCA and continues to teach at other locations around the city. Shoshi also works with high-risk dogs adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley.

Constant Companion, LLC was born in 2006. It is the culmination of several years of dreaming it, developing it, and seeing it to fruition. I am a lifetime dog guardian and dog lover. I currently share my home with my husband, 5 shelter dogs, 30 chickens, and 3 sheep. I have experience with all creatures great and small. I have a 30 year career in pharmacy, 8 years experience as a veterinary technician, and a lifetime of caring for animals. I've worked with shelter dogs for 12 years and have experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments. I am also a Peaceable Paws Affiliate and will complete my PMCT (Pat Miller Certified Trainer) credential in 2022.

I have been a professional dog trainer in NYC for 15 years. As a child, I participated in dog agility and showmanship through 4-H and won several local and state competitions. I began my path to become a trainer by receiving a certification from the vocational school, Animal Behavioral College. When I began to hit a wall in my self-education four years ago, I enrolled in CUNY's Psychology program, and will be graduating May, 2025 with honors with an interdisciplinary BA in Animal Psychology and Creative Writing. I am currently volunteering as a Research Assistant for the Center for Canine Behavioral Studies, as well as assisting in a lab at Hunter studying Pandas. I am also a PPG member.
