Dog Grrl was started in 1997 by owner and operator Jenny Test. Dog Grrl thrived and grew into a doggie daycare space in San Francisco that offered small dog daycare, puppy socials with classes with Smarty Pup and a BnB style boarding facility in Healdsburg California. As the business grew so did the desire to help dogs overcome their fears and anxieties so Jenny went to the Academy for Dog Trainers offered at the SPCA and taught by Jean Donaldson. I started Rad Rover because I want to help those who want to do better for their dogs who wouldn't otherwise have access to this kind of support. Compassion for people wanting to do better for their dogs is just as important as compassion for our animals. Using trauma informed care strategies that I previously learned and used while working in nonprofit housing, I aim to help educate and build relationships with people about their dogs needs. Unlike a lot of local walkers, we are breed inclusive and understand that people are products of their situations and context. Lynda Mortensen, the owner of Bay Area Pet Pals, has been a small business owner for over 26 years. Her love of animals has remained with her throughout her childhood and prompted her to learn various pet care techniques and how to administer pet first aid. Lynda has opened her heart to adopt many pets over the years and she loves helping other pet owners care for their own pets. She trains each Pet Pal employee to follow specific guidelines. You will never have to worry about re-schedules due to sickness or vacations – there is always an equally trained Pet Pal available to ensure that every appointment and pet visit is covered. Bay Area Pet Pals is a licensed, bonded, and insured company.

Dog walk groups and pet sitting for small and social dogs only within our route: dog patch/Potrero Hill/Bernal Hill/Glen Park/southern Mission/Noe Valley/northern Bay View and Portola. We are leash and force free.
