Hi, I'm Bo. I became a dog trainer as a result of adopting Puppy Loki. I had to learn the science of dog training to survive him. So, I know what it's like to struggle with a dog in the household. I specialize in private lessons and work primarily online, so I can work with you wherever you are. I'm also the "economy trainer" because my rates tend to be much lower than other professionals. I've been training for 8 years and I have extensive experience in the daycare and boarding environment, training and caring for hundreds of dogs over 6 years. I'm passionate about helping all dogs and their pet parents, especially with fear and anxiety issues, as well as teaching dogs to relax and be calm while building their confidence, which is an integral part of my training curriculum. It was the love of my life, Jane, my Jack Russell Terrier of almost 18 years, who inspired me to pursue a career in dog training and is the dog behind the name, See Jane Dog Behavior and Training.

My business started in 2013 in Cole Valley but I also offer my services in the surroundings areas. I have excellent references and I can provide them upon request. My walks consist of small groups (usually three dogs at a time) with different schedules according to what it is requested. We go for a 60-minute walk after each dog is picked up. This gives them time to do their business, exercise and socialize with other dogs.

I'm Lauri Green (they/them), a dog trainer passionate about positive reinforcement and animal liberation. In 2018, adopting my dog led me to become a full-time trainer. My approach is fun, reward-based, specializing in clicker training, confidence-building for shy/rescue dogs, socialization, and off-leash skills. As an animal liberation activist and vegan, my work is driven by deep empathy for animals. I find nothing more rewarding than helping dogs thrive. I have been working with dogs since 2016. In 2017 I started a dog walking and pet sitting business and my passion to help families with their fearful and aggressive dogs grew. In 2018 I attended Karen Pryor Academy for Professional Behavior and Training graduating with distinction. My personal dogs have had training challenges that allows me to be empathetic and help personalize my training plans for my clients. I continue to study, take classes, and collaborate with fellow trainers to make sure my clients get specialized training plans to suit their unique needs.

Polite Pooches offers group classes and private training sessions utilizing positive reinforcement, force free methods only. We offer puppy classes through advanced manners. All private sessions & group classes are held at our safe, quiet, clean training center in Forest Hill, MD. All of our trainers have achieved at least their CPDT-KA certification. We teach using humane methods, and go at a pace each dog is comfortable with.

I provide a loving and secure home for your small dog when you’re away. I specialize in boarding dogs under 20 pounds in my cozy studio, which opens up to an enclosed backyard, and a large front yard with a pretty garden. With years of experience, I have a special affinity for both energetic pups and senior or special needs dogs, including those who are blind or deaf. I prioritize creating a comfortable and familiar environment, offering a free practice night for all new clients.
