What started as a call to action and doing right by the furry friends in my life, this business was birthed from the trust and encouragement of my friends who had dogs and needed support. Fourteen years later, my team and I are ever grateful to have supported hundreds of pet owners, and made some life long friendships along the way. From Daycare support seven days a week, and Boarding overnight three hundred and sixty five a year, my passionate team is ready to support with your requested needs. I was certified as a CPDT-KA and taught basic and intermediate skills in group classes for 17 years. Since the pandemic, I work with dog owners privately. I am a strong believer in the efficacy of positive reinforcement and continuously educate myself to strengthen my understanding of dog behavior. Teaching practicable solutions for impulse control related issues like jumping, excessive barking, leash pulling, etc are just the beginning of helping to create good communication and a strong bond between the dog and their families. Newman's Dog Training, Walking and Pet Sitting has been serving the Kansas City Metro since 2011. Owner, Jena Newman, is a former zookeeper who trained exotics like elephants, sea lions, gorillas and more.
