Founded in 2014, Pawsitopia provides Truckee, CA pups with humane and ethical science-based private training services and group adventure walks.

Although my business is newly established, I bring over 5 years of hands-on experience as a professional dog groomer. I'm passionate about providing a positive, stress-free grooming experience for every pet in my care. Clients can count on me to be trustworthy, punctual, and fully committed to delivering high-quality service with attention to detail. My goal is to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners through excellent care and consistent results.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) who has been teaching group classes and working with private clients for over 20 years. My goals as a trainer are to give owners the skills necessary to build better relationships and solve behavior challenges with their dogs using reward-based, positive training methods grounded in learning theory. I work 1:1 with clients to solve their training challenges including leash manners & reactivity, behavioral problems, training fundamentals for new puppy/dog, preparing for baby and child/dog relationship training. Force Free Certified, Member APDT, IAABC, and PPG.

Diane Corso of Prosh Pets offers small off-leash playgroups at dog-friendly parks twice daily, as well as dog sitting in the client's home for regular playgroup clients. She was certified back in 2013 by Dog*Tec (now Dog*Biz) and is current on Pet First Aid. Additionally, she teaches certification classes for San Francisco Dog Walkers.

I only board dogs that are enrolled in my daily group walks. I walk dogs of all shapes and sizes even though my profile says I only walk small dogs. I don't know how that happened or how to change it.

Leo has worked professionally with dogs for over 20 years, primarily in shelters where pups are understandably stressed and in need of targeted behavioral support. They are an Academy for Dog Trainers honors graduate (CTC) and a CPDT-KA. They offer VIP boarding in their purpose-built home environment for dogs who struggle to fit into traditional pet-sitting and kenneling environments, as well as board and train programs for puppies, teens and adult dogs to help them and their people build foundations that will benefit them in various facets of their lives. My business name was chosen because that is what we're working with in order to help every dog- the inner dog, their brain. I've been helping dogs and their human companions for 17 years. I have been privileged to work with many dogs who, presenting with a wide variety of challenges, have taught me so much, each leaving me with a legacy to pass on in helping other dogs. Creating trust allows us to teach skills, change behaviors, thus creating that special partnership between our canine friends and their human companions.

I started a professional dog walking business in San Francisco, CA in the summer of 1992. I walked dogs and boarded dogs in San Francisco for 27 wonderful years. At the end of 2019, I made the decision to move out of San Francisco and move back to the East Bay, where I was born and raised. In 2020, I moved to beautiful Castro Valley and now I am boarding dogs ( small dogs only ) out of my home. I have a lovely park-like backyard, complete with its own "dog park" (synthetic lawn). I rescued a shelter dog in the middle of the pandemic. He is a 15 pound mixed breed dog named Fonzie. Fonzie gets along great with all dogs. I am licensed, bonded and insured.
