Hi everyone! My name is Naomi Roxas I've been a dog walker in San Francisco for the last 5 years. I started out working for a dog walking company the first 4 years and in February of 2019 I decided so start my own dog walking coverage business! With my previous company it was always stressful to ask for time off and I found that to be the case for other business owners as well. As a graduate in Psychology from SF State, I find taking time off for self care to be very important and I feel as though that is something many walkers have not had the opportunity to enjoy. Joyful Dog works one-on-one and in group classes with people and their dogs, teaching fun ways to live together with force-free tools and techniques for creative communication. We provide training in basic manners, behavioral problem-solving, puppy socialization, and a variety of special interests. Our positive approach includes Connection, Cooperation, and Control™, a curriculum founded on Suzanne Clothier’s Relationship Centered Training techniques, and Tellington TTouch® methods of body work and movement, to help dogs achieve physical and behavioral balance. We serve an online clientele, as well as in-person in Leesburg, Loudoun and western Fairfax counties in Virginia.

We walk dogs! Servicing Redwood City and anywhere in a 2-mile radius. These prices includes pick up and drop off within radius: -30 minute walk for $35 (each additional dog per household is $20) -60 minute walk for $65 (each additional dog per household is $20) These prices DON'T include pick up and drop off: -30 minute walk for $25 (each additional dog per household is $15) -60 minute walk for $45 (each additional dog per household is $15) You can drop off at 1540 Hudson Street in RWC If you'd like to add daycare, there would be an additional fee of $40 per day (max of 5 hours).

I was certified as a CPDT-KA and taught basic and intermediate skills in group classes for 17 years. Since the pandemic, I work with dog owners privately. I am a strong believer in the efficacy of positive reinforcement and continuously educate myself to strengthen my understanding of dog behavior. Teaching practicable solutions for impulse control related issues like jumping, excessive barking, leash pulling, etc are just the beginning of helping to create good communication and a strong bond between the dog and their families.
