Hi there! My name is Erik Grow and I've been a dog care professional since 2008, having first worked for other pet care businesses in Marin and San Francisco. I have owned and operated The Good Life Dog Care since 2012, with a sabbatical from 2019 to 2021. I put the safety of your pets above all other concerns, followed next by exercise and socialization. We do a mix of off-leash and on-leash walking so as to make sure all the dogs get enough exercise. It's important to know that your dog is having a good time, so I take pictures and videos during the walk to share on our Instagram page. Truth is I love dogs! Big, small, furry, bald, stinky or clean I love them all. I will cherish each as my own. I am just staring out and would love to start by walking them, then possible dog sitting in my home. I have owned a bulldog, and cocker spaniel in my life so far. I am pet free at the current time. Hi, Everyone! My 30 year background in Public Health, Mental/Behavioral Health and trauma-informed practice supports and informs my animal communication practice and healing work with animals. I am trained in 18 different different healing modalities, as well as animal communication. I specialize in nervous/anxious/fearful animals and can support your dog on the physical, emotional and behavioral levels. My animal communication skills allow me to speak with your dog, find out what is up and identify methods to support them. I also speak with animals who have crossed over. It provides tremendous peace to my clients. I excel at what I do and I love my work!

I only board dogs that are enrolled in my daily group walks. I walk dogs of all shapes and sizes even though my profile says I only walk small dogs. I don't know how that happened or how to change it.

Steph trains everyone to meet dogs where they are! She utilizes force free techniques, whether dogs need a little extra help feeling safe, learning how to play with other dogs, learning how to trust people, or just plain making sure they get their exercise while they are out and about (and coming back when called!) She strives to help people learn how to understand their dog while cutting down on undesirable behaviors. Steph has a particular soft spot for all guard dog breeds, from shepherds to bullies, and especially enjoys working with them.
