Specializing in solo R+ walks, on leash (long lead) for dogs experiencing reactivity and animal communication techniques to assist in understanding your dogs behavioral patterns and individual needs. This approach leads to an outcome of people who feel confident and safe navigating the world with their dogs. Walks are enrichment focused allowing them to use their brain and senses to unwind. For my clients who are actively working with an R+ trainer I am in regular contact with that trainer to support you and your dog’s training journey. Hello, I'm Josefina. I can also be reached at @sitdoggy23, where I post my IG and boarding/walking adventures. Prior to dog sitting, my pet care experience includes fostering rescues with Wonder Dog Rescue, Grateful Dogs Rescue and the SF/SPCA shelter. I also have experience as a volunteer dog walker at the SF/SPCA. I have experience working with dogs with a wide range of issues including: seniors, dogs with medical issues, including trauma and abuse/neglect. I have a special love for my work with fostering rescues, as well as walking shelter dogs. It’s an honor to have helped save the lives of many dogs. I currently work from home, have two children and prefer crate-trained dogs.

I specialize in using reward-based techniques to help families with dogs that are considered difficult, whether it is dog-dog aggression, resource guarding, aggression towards humans, reactivity to objects, noises, fearful/shutdown dogs. I also work with dogs that have had a bite history. In addition, I have a SmartPuppy Program that helps you grow puppies into smart, confident dogs and prevent many issues rather than fix them later. I use games, toys and food to train with fun and kindness.
