We are about community. Everyday we strive to make something better in serving our clients and their dogs. Julia, the business owner, is passionate about dogs and their care. This will be our 22nd year of serving our San Francisco community. Our daycare and boarding is based out of my 2,500 sq ft home, with a large backyard. We love what we do. We use only force free, R+ training methods. All of our staff are employees and we provide health, dental and retirement benefits.

Specializing in solo R+ walks, on leash (long lead) for dogs experiencing reactivity and animal communication techniques to assist in understanding your dogs behavioral patterns and individual needs. This approach leads to an outcome of people who feel confident and safe navigating the world with their dogs. Walks are enrichment focused allowing them to use their brain and senses to unwind. For my clients who are actively working with an R+ trainer I am in regular contact with that trainer to support you and your dog’s training journey. Professional dog walking, training, conditioning, and boarding business here in the SF Bay Area, for over 20 years. All positive based with decades of canine psychology and direction. No employees, licensed and insured, certified dog dog trainer, and loves psychology of canines and the lifestyle of conditioning dogs for the mental, physical, and emotional needs that our pet companions require. Most adventures are conducted at natural environments without the the drawbacks of leash confinement. Daily picture posts to FB and IG attest to the dog’s happiness, fulfillment, and success. Happy smiles mean happy dogs. What do you have to lose but that darn leash and boredom?!

Owner/Operator of my small business since 2004. I have no internet presence and have run my business by word of mouth all these years. I love my job and respect all the dogs and clients that have come into my life. I love partying with my pups and do my utmost to show them a good time while keeping them safe.

I am located in Mill Valley and service Mill Valley and Sausalito for my pack walks. The pack walks 1 hour off-leash walks and adventures in parks and beaches nearby. I also offer pet-sitting and boarding Fridays after 12:30 until Sunday night if you live outside of Marin. I started Salty Paws SF in 2023 after working for another dog walking business for about a year and a half. I also walked for another company called Luck Dog from 2007-2009.

​My name is Chris Durrant, CPDT-KA. I am a Professional, Certificated Dog Trainer. I specialize in fear and reactivity in dogs. I truly enjoy solving companion dog behaviors and teaching people how to do so. I love and understand dogs on a deep level - how they learn and think, what makes them happy and attentive and what causes them to act out. Whether your dog pulls on leash, chews up the furniture, barks at other dogs or is fearful of things, I can help. My training techniques are designed to be fun, build confidence (for you and your dog), and change behaviors quickly and effectively. I take pride in offering force-free, scientifically proven methods. ​
