One client at a time 🐶🐱🦆 As a Fear Free Veterinary and Shelter pets certified animal care professional, my services cater to pets with medical, behavioral, and cognitive needs, including anxiety, PTSD, depression, mood disorders, epilepsy, visual impairment, and specific behavior management requirements. I volunteer at the SF SPCA Shelter Medicine, specializing in shelter pets that require medical attention and care in stressful conditions. My responsibilities include administering oral medication, medical baths, physical therapy, and grooming. I am training to become a handler in events focused on tracking and retrieval, scent work, and search and rescue. Thank you for considering.

I have always loved animals and since I could remember I was wanting to work alongside animals. My first job when I was just 16 was working in an animal clinic. While I learned a lot and had many experiences, it was a little sad that most of these animals were sick. My introduction to walking dogs professionally came from my employment with A Girl and Your Dog.

I'd love to help you have a more magical relationship with your dog! My main focus is on puppy raising and separation anxiety, so if those are your concern, I'm here to help! I trained for 4 years at SmartyPup! in San Francisco and now work solely through online coaching*. This is a GREAT way to learn and teach your dog. There are many benefits to online dog training, including fewer distractions early in training, no commute, come in your pajamas, and plenty more! *As much as I would love to, I'm unable to offer in-person training at this time.

I started dog sitting after noticing a gap in the market. Daycares juggling numerous clients at can’t possibly cater to each dog’s unique needs. I commit to ONE dog at a time and providing individualized, structured care. Your dog will never be subjected to yelling, yanking, or punishing. I lead with compassion and gentleness - an approach they deserve. I provide care at my residence, offering 24/7 supervision for SA pups, exercise, and frequent photo updates. Currently, I watch dogs ~50lbs and under based on space limitations. Pit bull type dogs/mixes welcome. Jan Marinelli is a Positive Reinforcement / Force Free dog trainer located in the Summerville, South Carolina region. Jan believes that her work is to help dogs and their humans communicate more clearly to each other for the enrichment of their lives together. Throughout this work, she offers support and encouragement to both canines and humans to learn new behaviors through healthy play, lots of praise, and practice. Jan has successfully completed Pat Miller's Level 1 training. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen trainer and evaluator.
