After nearly 30 years teaching high school, I retired to work with animals. I am certified through Animal Behavior College as a Dog Walker, Pet Sitter, and Zookeeper Assistant. I am also a Certified Dog Trainer through Petco. I have two small dogs, a 12-year-old Spitz and a 3-year-old Border Terrier. I’ve been a pet mom for the past 25 years of both dogs and cats. I have also owned fish, mice, hamsters, and a rat. I LOVE animals, and I will care for yours as my own.

Owner/Trainer Shane Stanis, CDBC, CPDT-KSA has been training dogs professionally for over 20 years. As an IAABC certified dog behavior consultant, I work primarily with families struggling with aggression, reactivity, phobias, compulsive behaviors, and my specialty - fear & anxiety. I work with clients in person in Central Contra Costa county, and virtually nationwide (and occasionally internationally). I also run an online group training program for shy and fearful dogs, Confidence Builders Academy.

From Daycare support seven days a week, and Boarding overnight three hundred and sixty five a year, my passionate team is ready to support with your requested needs. I have been a dog walker, sitter and have boarded dogs for over four years. I have taken care of senior dogs, large breed dogs, puppies and adolescents. I volunteered at an animal shelter where I took many dog handling workshops and am Fear Free certified and first aid CPR certified. I use a positive reinforcement, partnership based, compassionate tuning in approach when walking or otherwise interacting with dogs. I strive to meet the physical and emotional needs of animals through sufficient attention, affection, exercise, and exposure to nature.
