Our mission at Social Tailwaggers, LLC, is to help people understand there is a better way to work with your dog to create a fun, loving, and humane bond between the two of you. It starts with socialization when your puppy is between 8 and 16 weeks and continues with one on one training or group classes using positive reinforcement. Behavior problems are the number one reason people surrender their dog to a shelter. I grew up living with and loving dogs. When my kids were young I hired dog walkers and was always curious about the job. In 2013, we got our dog Lily and I became and licensed dog walker and started A Walk in the Park. Since then I've done group walks at Fort Funston, Bernal Hill, Stern Grove and McLaren Park. I also do doggie daycare and boarding in my home in Noe Valley. I love spending my days outside with dogs and feel very grateful to do this work.

Starting Compassionate Canine is the realization of a lifetime of being in connection with animals. Kelly’s focus when opening Compassionate Canine Training was to utilize positive reinforcement (R+) training to solve the frustrations of families living with challenges of daily distractions. Working with you in your home, yard and neighborhood,, she is able to train your dog in the things most important for YOU. Together, we will cover all the basics of obedience training while focusing on your specific behavioral concerns.

Specializing in solo R+ walks, on leash (long lead) for dogs experiencing reactivity and animal communication techniques to assist in understanding your dogs behavioral patterns and individual needs. This approach leads to an outcome of people who feel confident and safe navigating the world with their dogs. Walks are enrichment focused allowing them to use their brain and senses to unwind. For my clients who are actively working with an R+ trainer I am in regular contact with that trainer to support you and your dog’s training journey. As a force free professional, I apply the same level of gentle, effective care to educating humans as I do to training their dogs. My dog training education (Turid Rugaas, Karen Pryor, Aggressive Dog, Treat/Retreat and many ongoing trainings) and my Masters in Social Work combine to give me a unique perspective on enhancing your relationship with your dog while getting you the changes in their behavior you need.

Hi! I am a positive reinforcement, fear-free certified trainer (CPDT-KA, FFCP). I started on this journey years ago by volunteering at an animal shelter. I then became an employee on the behavior team and that lead me to the trainer I am today! My shelter background has made me a more rounded and empathic trainer. KEEP IT PAWSITIVE is my motto ❤️🐾🐾

I started Rad Rover because I want to help those who want to do better for their dogs who wouldn't otherwise have access to this kind of support. Compassion for people wanting to do better for their dogs is just as important as compassion for our animals. Using trauma informed care strategies that I previously learned and used while working in nonprofit housing, I aim to help educate and build relationships with people about their dogs needs. Unlike a lot of local walkers, we are breed inclusive and understand that people are products of their situations and context.
