Owner/Trainer Shane Stanis, CDBC, CPDT-KSA has been training dogs professionally for over 20 years. As an IAABC certified dog behavior consultant, I work primarily with families struggling with aggression, reactivity, phobias, compulsive behaviors, and my specialty - fear & anxiety. I work with clients in person in Central Contra Costa county, and virtually nationwide (and occasionally internationally). I also run an online group training program for shy and fearful dogs, Confidence Builders Academy.

The Life of Kai is a 501-c3. Our vision is to have fewer displaced dogs in the shelters and more pets in the homes. We hope to reach our goal through several programs. Humane education teaches empathy to build a kinder and compassionate generation. Training and dog behavior books based on science are available to the public with free and easy access. Coaching new adopters and guardians and teaching pet dogs to co-exist through better understanding of canine behaviors. Working pro-bono with rescues and fosters to make rescued dogs more adoptable and supporting a foster-centric community by creating a foster registry.

I have been an in-home trainer of dogs and puppies in the Greater Baltimore area for 29 years. I cover all aspects of training including pet selection, family dog manners, behavioral issues like aggression and separation anxiety, as well as beginning sports training in obedience, rally, conformation handling, tricks, and agility. I use science-based reward training.

Hi! I’ve been working in the petcare industry since 2017 and started Furry Best Friend SF in January of 2024. I reside in the Richmond district and service all over San Francisco for dog walks, pet drop ins, and pet sitting. I do offer pet sitting in north and east Bay for extended prices. Weekends Only. I can help with one-on-one Dog Walks in San Francisco and Pet Sitting in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am also happy to work as a dog handler/au pair at a special event. Steph trains everyone to meet dogs where they are! She utilizes force free techniques, whether dogs need a little extra help feeling safe, learning how to play with other dogs, learning how to trust people, or just plain making sure they get their exercise while they are out and about (and coming back when called!) She strives to help people learn how to understand their dog while cutting down on undesirable behaviors. Steph has a particular soft spot for all guard dog breeds, from shepherds to bullies, and especially enjoys working with them.
