Kelly’s focus when opening Compassionate Canine Training was to utilize positive reinforcement (R+) training to solve the frustrations of families living with challenges of daily distractions. Working with you in your home, yard and neighborhood,, she is able to train your dog in the things most important for YOU. Together, we will cover all the basics of obedience training while focusing on your specific behavioral concerns.

I have always had a deep love and passion for dogs. Their loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love have always fascinated me. So, it was only natural for me to turn my passion into a business. Twelve years ago, I decided to start a dog walking business. I wanted to provide a reliable and trustworthy service for pet owners who needed someone to care for their furry friends when they couldn’t be there themselves. I focused on building my credibility and knowledge. I attended dog training and behavior classes to understand how to handle different breeds and temperaments. Additionally, I obtained certifications in pet first aid and CPR to ensure I could provide the necessary care.

My name is Juliana and Pawsome Pupstars Dog Training is my private business. I was a dog walker before becoming a dog trainer. I am CPDT-KA and Fear Free certified. I am located in Brooklyn, NY. I offer a combination of virtual and in-person dog training services depending on the needs of the dogs and their guardians.

I was certified as a CPDT-KA and taught basic and intermediate skills in group classes for 17 years. Since the pandemic, I work with dog owners privately. I am a strong believer in the efficacy of positive reinforcement and continuously educate myself to strengthen my understanding of dog behavior. Teaching practicable solutions for impulse control related issues like jumping, excessive barking, leash pulling, etc are just the beginning of helping to create good communication and a strong bond between the dog and their families. Hi there! Happy Scamper was started in 2013 with one goal in mind-- providing the highest quality care for pups and their humans. We have thousands of playgroup walks under our belts learning the in's and out's of dog behavior, safe handling, positive reinforcement training, dog park etiquette, and adorable picture taking! Our pups enjoy off leash walks in a beautiful private fenced acreage lot with occasional visits to Funston! As of 2019 my wife Vanessa officially joined Happy Scamper making us a family run business with 16 years combined experience. I am a SF SPCA certified private trainer. After 11 years of working at the SF SPCA I branched out full time on my own. I offer basic training, leash reactivity training, and have a lot of experience with puppies. I also provide pet sitting in your home as well as training while I stay with your dog or puppy.
